Engineering Elite Multi Level Leisure Environments

Peter Harding & Co. was appointed to deliver the groundworks and civil engineering package for a prestigious leisure park built across a steep, challenging hillside. The project required advanced earth retention, precision ground engineering and multi level foundation systems to transform difficult terrain into stable development platforms.

The Challenge

The site's significant gradient demanded a robust retaining solution capable of creating secure build platforms while maintaining the natural landscape and meeting the high standards expected of a premium leisure destination.

Our Solution

A multi tiered gabion retaining system was installed to manage earth pressures, provide natural drainage and create a series of engineered terraces. This transformed unstable ground into structurally sound platforms, maximising both usability and views across the park.

Each accommodation base was constructed on reinforced concrete foundations with carefully prepared and compacted sub bases to ensure long term stability and eliminate settlement.

To complete the development, we installed asphalt access roads, decorative block paving, gravel finishes and integrated drainage, creating safe access throughout the site while delivering a high quality finish.
